Agartala, Feb. 12 -- Indigenous leaders from the BJP-Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT) in Tripura strongly oppose the indefinite strike declared by a faction of the indigenous student body on February 12.

They urged the protestors to reconsider and enter into a constructive dialogue with the state government to address the matter.

The indigenous student bodies, along with various civil society organizations, have announced an indefinite national highway and railway blockade, seeking the adoption of the Roman script for the Kokborok language starting from February 12.
