India, Dec. 24 -- Protests over alleged attacks on minorities in Bangladesh intensified in Assam's Sribhumi on Tuesday as the Bajrang Dal and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) held a large rally near the India-Bangladesh border, officials said.
Hundreds of activists marched from AOC Point through key streets of Sribhumi town and assembled on the banks of the Kushiara River, close to the international boundary. The organisations said they organised the rally to protest the reported killing of Dipu Das in Bangladesh.
