Phase 2 of Lok Sabha elections: Manipur records 54.26% voter turnout till 1pm
IMPHAL, April 26 -- TheNortheaststate of Manipur is witnessing a high voter turnout in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections held on Friday (April 26).
54.26% voter turnout was recorded in Manipur till 1pm, theelection commission of India (ECI)informed.
13 assembly segments underOuter Manipur Lok Sabha constituencywent to polls in the second phase ofLok Sabha elections.
A total of 857 polling stations, including nine special polling stations, have been set up across 13 assembly segments under the OuterManipurLok Sabha constituency.
Currently, the Outer Manipur constituency is represented by Lorho Phoze of the Naga People's Front (NPF), a constituent of the BJP-led NDA.
