Guwahati, Jan. 31 -- In a move that will pave a new trend in the educational sector in the state, the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) is planning to introduce OMR (optical mark recognition) sheets in the HSLC (High Schools Leaving Certificate) examinations in 2024.

This move is done keeping in mind the numerous competitive examinations conducted by the Central government where OMR sheets are used to evaluate the students.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said, "OMR sheets are in use in all competitive examinations these days.
