India, Nov. 21 -- The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) collected Rs 500.8 crore in toll revenue from ten toll gates across Assam during the calendar year 2024, according to data released in response to an RTI application.
The information was obtained by Rakesh Hazarika, Executive Director of the Centre for Efficient Governance, who filed the RTI seeking details of toll collections. The data also highlighted that the newly opened Telipara Toll Plaza collected Rs 2.46 crore within just 24 days of its commissioning on December 8, 2024.
