India, Dec. 22 -- The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has formed a dedicated team to develop syllabi and textbooks on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for students in Classes 11 and 12, the Ministry of Education informed Parliament.

The initiative is part of the National Education Policy 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework 2023, aiming to equip senior secondary students with essential AI and computational thinking skills for the digital economy, the ministry stated.

In addition, NCERT has introduced an AI-based project on Animation and Games in the vocational education textbook for Class 6.
