India, Jan. 23 -- The Nagaland GIS & Remote Sensing Centre (NGISRSC) and the Health & Family Welfare Department signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) on Thursday at the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare in Kohima to integrate drone technology into the state's healthcare framework.
According to an official statement, the MoA aims to address challenges posed by Nagaland's difficult terrain and limited accessibility by deploying drones for emergency medical supply delivery, responses during disease outbreaks and natural calamities, aerial support for vector control, and geospatial mapping for informed planning and decision-making.
