India, Nov. 6 -- The Nagaland government is planning to establish one old-age home in every district of the state, said Wangpang Konyak, adviser to the Social Welfare Department, on Thursday.
Konyak said this while gracing an eye camp for senior citizens at District Hospital in Mon, as the chief guest.
The camp was jointly organized by the Social Welfare Department and Mercy Eye Centre, Dimapur, with support from the District Hospital, Mon.
At the event, Konyak highlighted government schemes for senior citizens, including old-age pensions, the elderly helpline, and charity care for older adults in the state. He encouraged them to follow medical advice carefully to maintain good health and recover quickly from any ailments.
