India, Nov. 6 -- Amidst the ongoing strike by the Joint Coordination Committee of the state government employees over the IAS induction process in the state, the Nagaland cabinet at a meeting on Thursday decided to revisit the induction process of non-State Civil Service (SCS) officers into the IAS.
The cabinet appealed to all concerned to cooperate and call off the ongoing agitation/protest on this issue.
It noted that in 2020, a vacancy circular for the induction of non-SCS officers to IAS was approved by the competent authority, but was not followed up by the preparation of a cabinet memorandum, and no policy decision was taken or notified.
