INDIA, Dec. 3 -- The 26th Hornbill Festival, running from December 1 to 10, 2025, has reported a strong start, with over 40,500 visitors recorded in just the first two days, the Nagaland Tourism Directorate said.

On the first day, 22,508 people attended the event.

This included 363 international visitors, 5,314 domestic tourists, and 16,831 local residents.

On the second day, the festival drew 18,010 visitors, among them 341 foreign travelers, 4,893 tourists from other Indian states, and 12,776 people from within Nagaland.

The event, which showcases Naga tribal traditions through cultural performances, crafts, and indigenous sports, has grown into a major tourist attraction in the region.
