Dimapur, Feb. 29 -- In a first in Nagaland, the Kohima bench of Gauhati High Court launched its online Right to Information (RTI) portal to ensure transparency and efficiency in the court.

The RTI portal was formally launched by Justice Devashis Baruah, Judge, Gauhati High Court and the information and communication technology in-charge of the Kohima bench, in the presence of Justice Sushmita Phukan Khaund, Judge, Gauhati High Court and officials of the High Court Registry.

To mark the event, Justice Baruah symbolically filed the first online paperless e-RTI application at the Kohima bench through the dedicated web portal.
