India, Feb. 5 -- Mizoram is set to observe its 39th Statehood Day with a focus on spiritual devotion, scheduled from February 18 to 20, an official said on Wednesday.
While no traditional official functions have been planned, the occasion will be marked by statewide mass prayers and fasting, he said.
According to the official, these gatherings are intended to offer thanks and seek divine intervention for the reformation of the state.
The three-day observance is being organized by the State Day of Prayer Organizing Committee, led by Power Minister F. Rodingliana.
