India, Nov. 22 -- In a major drug haul, Mizoram police seized huge quantities of methamphetamine tablets and heroin, altogether worth Rs. 41.64 crore, in two separate operations over the past two days, police said in a statement on Friday.
Two Assamese and one Manipur resident were arrested for possessing the contraband, it said.
In an operation on Thursday night, a team of CID (Special Branch) recovered and seized 49.244 kilograms of methamphetamine tablets, also known as YABA, from a 12-wheeler TATA truck on the northeastern outskirts of Aizawl, it added.
