India, Feb. 4 -- Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Tuesday said that the state is leveraging its high literacy rates and English proficiency to transform into a digital powerhouse.

The Northeastern state was declared India's first fully literate state on May 20 last year, boasting a literacy rate of 98.2 per cent.

Lalduhoma made these remarks while inaugurating the computerisation of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS), a move he described as a significant milestone in the state's digital roadmap.

Speaking at the launch held at the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), he emphasized that his government places a high priority on making public services simpler, faster, and more accessible.
