India, Jan. 28 -- The Meghalaya Legislative Assembly is set to conduct its Budget Session from February 16 to 27, covering 10 working days.

The schedule was finalised after careful discussions to allow adequate time for legislative proceedings, Assembly Speaker Thomas A. Sangma said on Tuesday following the Business Advisory Committee meeting.

Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma is scheduled to present the state budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year on February 20. Three days of the session will be allocated for private members' business, while the remaining days will focus on government matters.
