Shillong, April 28 -- The opposition in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) in Meghalaya led by the United Democratic Party (UDP) saidthat itexpects the delimitation committee's report tobe finalizedby the council's next session.

This committeeis responsible for redrawingconstituency boundaries to ensure a balanced distribution of voters across the KHADC's 29 constituencies.

"During the previous session, the delimitation committee requested more time to complete their work," stated Titosstarwell Chyne, Leader of the Opposition in the KHADC.

He added, "Weare hopeful thatthey can finalize the report by the upcoming session."
