Imphal, March 14 -- Nagaland Tourism Minister Temjen Imna Along on Thursday called on the Governor of Manipur, Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan and discussed a wide range of issues about solving the ongoing impasse between the two communities and restoring peace and tranquillity in the state.

Nagaland Minister's meeting with the Governor came at a time when the Southern Angami Public Organization (SAPO) of Nagaland are asking the Mao citizens of Manipur residing within the Angami jurisdiction of Nagaland to return to their respective native villages in Manipur with an ultimatum by March 17, 2024.

Along, stressed the need to restore mutual understanding and trust among both communities to create a conducive atmosphere for talks.
