India, Jan. 7 -- A joint team of the Assam Rifles, women police personnel and Manipur Police commandos arrested two alleged women insurgents and rescued three kidnapped girls in multiple operations conducted at three locations in Manipur's Thoubal, Kakching and Imphal West districts on Tuesday.

Some incriminating documents and a white Maruti 800 bearing registration number MN-06-1329, which was allegedly used in the kidnapping, were recovered, officials said on Wednesday.

The arrested female cadres, belonging to the proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK), were identified as Khundrakpam (o) Ningthoujam Roshidiya (24) of Khangabok Khulakpam Leikai in Thoubal district, and Lisham (o) Bidya (30) of Thoubal Haokha Man...
