India, Jan. 5 -- IED blasts at an abandoned house triggered tension in Manipur's Bishnupur district on Monday, creating panic among residents in the area.

Reports said two explosions were heard between 5:40 am and 5:55 am, followed by another blast around 8:30 am, alarming residents in the area.

The explosions took place at an abandoned house in the Saiton-Nganukon area under the jurisdiction of Phougakchao police station.

The locality is currently under the security cover of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

The explosive devices were planted at the abandoned residence of Salam Manipur, aged 70, who is presently staying at a relief camp.
