Imphal, Jan. 29 -- Imphal West district police discovered suspected human skeletal remains at the Imphal Riverbed near the Babupara quarters which are being occupied by the Ministers, MLAs, and high officials, officials said on Wednesday.

The skeletal suspected to be human including a skull and bones were uncovered on Tuesday when some labourers dug up for soil collection at the Imphal Riverbed, the police said.

Following a first-hand report, a team of the Imphal West district police rushed to the spot and collected the skeletal remains for proper investigations.
