Imphal, May 22 -- Manipur Police on Tuesday arrested six cadres of the proscribed People's Liberation Army (PLA), the armed wing of the banned Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) in a raid in Imphal West district.

Some arms, ammo, mobile phones, and one Gypsy vehicle were recovered from them, a police press statement said on Wednesday.

The ages of the arrested cadres are between 24 years to 49.

On getting specific information that some cadres of the outlawed outfit PLA/RPF are taking shelters in an area of the Lamsang village under the Lamsang police station in Imphal West district, the police launched the operations at around 7 am on Tuesday.
