India, Feb. 3 -- Security forces comprising the Assam Rifles, Border Security Force and Manipur Police intensified operations along the Indo-Myanmar border in Tengnoupal district of Manipur over the past 24 hours.
The coordinated operation led to the recovery of a large cache of firearms, ammunition, explosives and electronic devices, officials said on Tuesday. As part of the operation, 18 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) along with connecting wires were recovered and safely disposed of on the spot.
The recoveries were made from the general areas of Bongmol and SL Zougam villages under Tengnoupal police station, close to the Myanmar border. The seized items included one AK-47 rifle with magazine, two pistols, two single-barrelled rif...
