India, Feb. 4 -- Central security forces and civil police arrested a cadre of the proscribed People's Liberation Army (PLA) and discovered a cache of firearms and explosives during anti-insurgency operations in Manipur's Imphal West district.
Officials on Wednesday reported that the arrest and seizures were conducted in two operations at different locations on Tuesday.
Acting on a tip from multiple sources, the joint forces raided an insurgent hideout and arrested an active PLA cadre, Meisnam Korouhanba Luwang, also known as Korou (45).
He was apprehended at his hideout at Keishamthong Top Leirak under Imphal Police Station, Imphal West district. A mobile phone was seized from him.
