Imphal, June 3 -- The Nagas and the Kukis have agreed to work earnestly towards a permanent settlement of the land dispute between Konsaram/Konsakhul Naga Village and the Leilon Kuki-Vaiphei community in Manipur's Kangpokpi district.
As an immediate outcome of this agreement, the Naga communities have temporarily suspended a ban they imposed on the movement of Kukis in their territories.
The agreement, reached on Monday, June 2, 2025, in a meeting held at the United Naga Council (UNC) office in Tahamzam, Senapati, saw the presence of key representatives, including the UNC Working Committee president and the Sadar Hills Chief Association (SAHILCA), representing the Kuki community.
