India, Feb. 13 -- Three more houses were razed in Litan Sareikhong village on February 12, despite intensified efforts by state authorities and the deployment of additional security forces to contain the unrest.

Sources reported that the incident was allegedly followed by gunfire from the opposite side of the village. No casualties have been reported so far.

Meanwhile, women from Tangkhul villages staged a protest condemning the ongoing violence, even in the presence of Central security forces, and demanded their immediate withdrawal from the village.
