INDIA, Dec. 10 -- The Kuki-Zo Council (KZC) extended a warm welcome to President Droupadi Murmu ahead of her two-day visit to Manipur starting December 11, while urging her to acknowledge the persistent hardships faced by the Kuki-Zo people displaced by the ongoing ethnic unrest.
In a statement released from its Lamka headquarters, the council said the President's arrival "brings renewed hope" to thousands still struggling with the aftermath of the conflict.
President Murmu is scheduled to attend official programmes in Imphal and the Senapati district during the visit.
