Imphal, June 3 -- Manipur Police have busted a valley-based insurgent's recruitment module in Thoubal, leading to the arrests of two active cadres of the proscribed Kanglei Yaol Kanna Lup (KYKL), an official stated on Tuesday.

The official stated that the police, acting on specific information generated by the Thoubal district police, launched a search operation against those who are motivating, funding, and providing logistic support to the gullible youth of the southern Thoubal district to recruit them into insurgency ranks.

After systemic efforts, police arrested an active cadre of KYKL, namely, Sapam Boboy Singh, also known as Aboy @ Kuki (36) from Chingtham Pukhri Achouba area under Khongjom PS, Thoubal District.
