Imphal, April 9 -- Manipur police arrested four alleged drug traffickers including a female and recovered one kg of heroin powder, 5.587 kg of opium, and one car in the anti-smuggling operations on Monday.
The value of the contravened drugs would be around Rs 11 crore in the international black markets, the police said on Tuesday.
On receipt of reliable input regarding the transportation of smuggled items from Churachandpur district to the Imphal area, Bishnupur district police conducted an operation resulting in the arrest of two individuals.
The alleged smugglers Md. Nurhaman @ Nurahaman (51 yrs) and Ibem, both residents of Kwakta, Bishnupur district were arrested from Terakhongsangbi.
