India, Dec. 27 -- The cybercrime police in Manipur's Imphal East district arrested a 22-year-old man for uploading content and promoting enmity among different communities on social media, the police reported on Saturday.

Mitram Mangal, also known as Napik (21), a resident of Nongpok Heirok Maning Leikai, Imphal East, was arrested from his residence on Friday on charges of inciting violence, disturbing social harmony, and misusing social media platforms for unlawful activities.

In Manipur, there are 36 state government-recognised communities.
