India, Jan. 28 -- The anti-narcotic task force of the Manipur Police, assisted by central security forces, arrested an alleged drug smuggler and recovered contraband drugs worth around Rs 1 crore in the regional market.

One four-wheeler and a communication device were also seized during the operation conducted in Bishnupur district, officials reported on Wednesday.

Based on intelligence inputs from multiple sources, the joint security teams were on high alert and intercepted a Maruti Swift four-wheeler bearing registration number MN-06-LX-0437 at the Nambol area under Nambol police station, Bishnupur district, on Tuesday.
