Imphal, Feb. 6 -- An office of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) distributor running in the heart of Imphal city received a bomb threat on Wednesday evening, anofficial report said on Thursday.
Unknown perpetrators reportedly placed a high explosive hand grenade inside the office room of the manager of the LPG distributor operating at Wahengbam Leikai under the Imphal police station on Wednesday.
The explosive device was discovered by a staff of the LPG outlet at around 6 pm.
On receiving the emergency report, a team of Imphal Police Station and Manipur police bomb detection and disposal squad arrived at the scene. Later, the bomb was safely defused at around 7 pm.
Police said that the reason behind the threat would be monetary demand...
