INDIA, Dec. 5 -- A Women Empowerment Centre named "Kinepna" (meaning 'Hope'), a platform where women affected by displacement can regain stability and dignity through structured training in handloom weaving, tailoring, local crafts, and basic entrepreneurship, was opened in Manipur's Churachandpur district.

Several internally displaced persons (IDPs), mostly women in the district, have taken advantage of opportunities provided through these skill-building modules, which aimed to foster self-reliance and enable sustainable livelihoods, thereby contributing to the socio-economic resilience of the region.
