India, Nov. 7 -- The Assam Rifles and Manipur police, in a joint operation, apprehended four alleged cadres of the proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP-Taibanganba), a group involved in extorting the general public and shopkeepers of the southern Thoubal district for raising party funds.
A substantial cache of weapons, including four firearms and rounds of ammunition, and communication devices, including four mobile phones, were recovered during the operation.
