Imphal, June 3 -- Heavy landslides triggered by continuous rainfall have caused major disruptions along National Highway 102B also known as Guite Road which connects Manipur's Churachandpur district headquarters with Aizawl in Mizoram.

The landslides, which struck over the past two days, have brought vehicular traffic to a complete standstill at multiple points, cutting off one of the key lifelines for the Kuki-Zo communities in Churachandpur.

Reports confirmed that landslides hit at least two major stretches of the highway between Sinzawl and Khuanggin, and between Sinzawl and Khawkawn forcing numerous vehicles to halt mid-journey.
