India, Nov. 23 -- Assam Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah on Saturday declared that every public park in Guwahati will allow free entry from December 1.

The announcement followed the massive footfall witnessed at the newly opened Guwahati Riverfront, Sati Radhika Shaanti Udyan in Uzan Bazar.

Mallabaruah clarified that visitors must collect an entry pass, but they will not have to pay any fee. "People will only be asked to provide their name and phone number before entering," he said.
