Guwahati, June 20 -- An IndiGo flight, 6E6764, operating from Guwahati to Chennai, was diverted to Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) on Wednesday evening after reaching Chennai airspace, citing insufficient fuel.

According to flight data, the flight was originally scheduled to arrive in Chennai at 7:45 pm on Wednesday. However, the aircraft, after reaching Chennai airspace, was rerouted to Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru (BLR) because of low fuel levels.

IndiGo has yet to release an official statement regarding the fuel diversion.

The incident marks another recent operational issue for the airline, following two other reported events on Wednesday and Thursday.
