Guwahati, Nov. 16 -- Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi condemned Assam Cabinet minister Ashok Singhal for posting a cauliflower-field image after the Bihar election results, arguing that the remark dragged political conversation to an unacceptable low.

Singhal uploaded a photo of cauliflower cultivation along with the caption, "Bihar approves gobi farming."

Gogoi countered that the phrase echoes memories of the 1989 Logain massacre in Bhagalpur, where more than a hundred Muslims were killed and their bodies reportedly hidden beneath cauliflower fields.

Gogoi said the minister's use of such imagery for political messaging "crosses all limits of decency" and trivialises a deeply painful chapter of history.
