INDIA, Nov. 28 -- A joint security team on Thursday arrested four senior cadres of the proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party-People's War Group (KCP-PWG) for their alleged involvement in recruiting youngsters and other criminal activities.

The joint team, comprising the Manipur Police Anti-Insurgency Squad (AIS) and central security forces, conducted surprise operations based on intelligence about the movements of several anti-social elements, officials said on Friday.

During the first operation on Thursday, an active KCP-PWG cadre, Khulem Robindro Singh (36), a resident of Luker Mayai Leikai under Patsoi Police Station, Imphal West district, was arrested at his residence.
