Ex-Tripura NSUI chief Samrat Roy quits Congress, alleges factionalism within party
AGARTALA, Feb. 24 -- Sacked from his position as the National Students Union of India (NSUI) Tripura president due to what was described as "irresponsible behaviour" in discharging organizational duties, Samrat Roy tendered his resignation from the primary membership of the Congress party on Saturday (February 24).
A significant number of his followers also followed suit.
"I have resigned from my primary membership position of the Indian National Congress party along with many party leaders and workers of the state of Tripura. due to the rising unethical treatment done to our workers and members within the party," said Roy.
