India, Feb. 15 -- Launching a sharp attack on the Assam government, Hafiz Abbas on Sunday (February 15) accused Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of misleading the people and engaging in large-scale corruption.
Addressing a press conference at Rajiv Bhawan in Bongaigaon, Abbas alleged that the Chief Minister has deliberately diverted public attention from pressing state issues by making communal remarks and fuelling social discord. He claimed that instead of prioritising governance and development, the state leadership has chosen to polarise society for political gains.
