Guwahati, April 5 -- The Chief Minister's Vigilance team of Assam on Saturday, raided the residence of two suspended Assam Civil Service (ACS) officers Tanbir Ahmed and Masum Ahmed leading to their arrest over alleged non income property and land scam in Guwahati, the sources said.

Sources stated that, earlier the day of arrest, the Chief Minister's Special Monitoring Cell raided the house of Tanbir and Masum focused on allegations of non income property and land scam.

Amidst the raid, the team seized Rs 1 lakh in cash and important documents from their residence in Bhetapara.

Later the authority registered a case against the two officers under numbers 8/2025 and 9/2, as a part of ongoins probe, it stated.
