GUWAHATI, March 7 -- Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made bold predictions regarding the fate of the Congress party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, foreseeing a significant decline in its electoral performance.

Addressing a summit, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma asserted that the Congress party's stronghold would weaken considerably, estimating that they would not secure more than 30 to 40 seats in the upcoming polls.
