Guwahati, April 28 -- The Axom Nagarik Samaj (ANS), a citizens' group of Assam, has strongly condemned the attack on the convoy of Lok Sabha MP Pradyut Bordoloi and MLA Sibamoni Bora, alleging it to be a blatant act of intimidation by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the ongoing Panchayat elections.

In a press release issued on Monday, the organization expressed deep concern over the escalating violence and questioned the state of law and order in Assam.
