India, Jan. 13 -- The Assam State Cooperative Federation on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited (BBSSL) to improve access to quality agricultural inputs and reinforce the cooperative sector in the state, officials said.

With the agreement, Assam became the 14th state to formalise a partnership with BBSSL. The MoU provides for a cooperative-driven system for the production, procurement and distribution of quality seeds across the state to boost farm productivity and create additional income avenues for farmers and cooperative bodies.
