India, Jan. 7 -- The family members of legendary Assamese singer Zubeen Garg have written a formal letter on Tuesday to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, seeking urgent steps to ensure justice in connection with the singer's death in Singapore last year.
The letter has been jointly signed by Garima Saikia Garg (wife), Dr. Palmee Borthakur (sister) and Manoj Borthakur (uncle) of the singer.
Addressed directly to the Chief Minister, the family appealed for stronger legal intervention, including the constitution of a Special Public Prosecutor Team and measures to expedite the trial through a special court mechanism.
