India, Nov. 18 -- On the 53rd birth anniversary of legendary Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, who tragically passed away on 19 September 2025 in Singapore while swimming under unclear circumstances, fans, family members, musicians, and political leaders across the state paid their deepest respects.

It is the first birth anniversary since his untimely demise, making the day heavy with emotion, remembrance, and renewed calls for justice.

In a heartfelt message shared this morning, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote on X:
