GUWAHATI, March 7 -- Senior Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Sushmita Dev expressed concerns regarding the "state of confusion" within the Congress party, asserting that elections cannot be effectively contested amidst such uncertainty.

Briefing media persons, TMC leader Sushmita Dev remarked, "Congress appears to be in disarray and is being influenced by the BJP."

She said that TMC chief Mamata Banerjee has "explicitly instructed party members to contest the elections independently".
