Guwahati, March 3 -- A man is missing after being swept away by the strong currents of the Brahmaputra River in Palashbari, Kamrup Rural district of Assam on Sunday.

The victim, identified as Jintu Nath, reportedly entered the river for a swim with friends when the incident occurred.

Nath, a resident of Baksa district, was employed at Flipkart (Ekart).

Following the incident, the Palashbari police, along with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), launched a search operation along the riverbanks.

However, as of now, Nath remains missing.
