India, Oct. 15 -- A doctor serving in a state health centre in rural Lakhimpur has resigned from his post in protests of slow progress in the investigation of heartthrob Zubeen Garg.

Mrinmoy Hazarika, Medical and Health Officer-1 at Islampur State Dispensary, Lakhimpur resigned from his official post because of his "frustration and strong dissatisfaction of current government enquiry regarding Zubeen Garg da's death investigation process both as a citizen of India and as a student of Science".
