India, Feb. 16 -- Former Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Bhupen Borah has tendered his resignation from the party, according to sources.
Sources said the former president has sent his resignation letter to All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge. The development, however, has not been officially confirmed by either the AICC or the APCC.
Party insiders indicated that Borah was reportedly dissatisfied with the direction of the opposition alliance efforts in the state. He had recently been tasked with leading a key meeting of opposition parties, including Akhil Gogoi-led Raijor Dal and other regional parties.
